If you are a DKP Enterprise/Essential customer, you need to load a valid license key.
To generate and manage DKP licenses keys, use the support Portal to generate and manage them as described below.
Note: DKP (and Kommander) License Management is only available for D2iQ Customers.
Note: You will not be able to generate licenses in advance until your entitlement officially starts (Ex. your current license ends in Oct 31, 2022 and your new entitlement starts in November 1, 2022. You will not be able to generate new licenses until November 1, 2022 starts). Please consult your Customer Success Manager regarding the start date.
Creating a New License
To create a new DKP (or Kommander) license key, select Manage Licenses from the button on the top of the support portal homepage.
The License Management page will load. You will see the products and core count you are entitled to in the upper left hand side.
Note: You will not be able to create a license key until the start date of your contract.
To create a new license key, select New License from the button on the right-hand side of the page to bring up the New Cluster dialog window.
When creating a new DKP license key, the cluster name can be anything you, and others in your organization, will recognize. The license cluster name does not have to match the DKP cluster name.
For a DKP Essential cluster, the license quantity should indicate the total number of cores for all the worker nodes in your cluster. For a DKP Enterprise cluster, the number of cores should reflect the number of worker node cores in ALL the clusters your DKP Enterprise cluster will be managing as well as the worker nodes in the Management cluster.
Note: Only worker cores are required to be included in the license.
Once you have filled out the required fields, click the Create button to create the new license key. You will be returned to the License Management page, where you can view and edit your License Keys.
Viewing and Editing an Existing DKP License Key
In order to edit an existing DKP license key, you can select the license key name from the License Management page, then choose the Edit from the Dropdown on the right.
Make any necessary edits, then select Save. Please note that Save will return you to the License Management page and Save & New will save the current license and open another New Cluster dialog box to create additional licenses.
Downloading a DKP License Key
While viewing any environment, click the View License Key button to download or copy the license key specific to that cluster.
To apply the license to the DKP cluster, follow the DKP licensing documentation
