In recent version of macOS, the operating system ships with a feature called Gatekeeper which filters specific applications from freely running on the machine.
If you encounter the error message below, follow the steps below to allow the dkp binary to run without any issues:
- If you get a prompt when running the dkp binary in the command line, make sure that the message states that the binary was downloaded from support.d2iq.com. You can hit cancel on this message box for now.
- Go to your System Preferences app > Security & Privacy and under the General tab, focus on the bottom part saying that an attempt to run "dkp" was blocked. Click on the Allow Anyway button
- On the command line, run a dkp command again. A popup will show with an additional option to open the app. Make sure that the download source indicates support.d2iq.com
Please make sure that your download source indicates support.d2iq.com in order to make sure that you have the right binary.
We are currently working on resolving this issue on future releases.
