While Konvoy is supported on RHEL 8.2, deploying on premise in air gapped environments requires additional preparations in order to be successful. Additionally, only Konvoy 1.7.3+ or Konvoy 1.8.1+ are supported. Older versions of Konvoy will not deploy successfully.
Python 3 is required to be pre-installed. You must also configure the proper alias:
You must also pre-install iproute-tc-5.9.0-4.el8.x86_64 as Konvoy relies on this being available during setup.
During installation, you may notice that Konvoy deploys very slowly due to the way RHEL 8.X interacts with subscription-manager entitlements. Since you will not be able to reach Red Hat's repositories in Air Gap, you can disable checks for Red Hat repositories via the following command:
