When trying to create a Konvoy cluster from a Linux client, you may run into errors such as these when you're trying to run "konvoy up":
The first thing to check is whether the Docker service is running. To check this, run:
If the status does not show "active (running)", you will need to start the service:
If Docker is running, you may need to add your user account to the "docker" group to ensure that you can run it without sudo:
Once this is done, COMPLETELY LOG OUT of your machine - closing and reopening a terminal is not enough to make this change take effect.
After you log back in, open a new terminal and test your access:
You should now be able to run Docker commands with your user account, which will then allow you to run Konvoy commands.
