Overview
The following will detail the specific platform and software dependencies for running the Konvoy command on a client machine to provision a remote cluster.
Operating Systems
Most Linux- and Unix-based operating systems will work with Konvoy. It has been tested and known to work with CentOS 7, Ubuntu, and Mac OSX Mojave. Windows is not yet supported as a Konvoy client. Plans are underway to add Windows support. For now, we recommend using a Virtual Machine running CentOS or Ubuntu as a workaround if Windows is your only available platform.
Software Requirements
- Konvoy requires that Docker is installed and running on your client machine. We recommend that you always use the latest version of Docker desktop.
- Ensure that you have installed and properly configured the latest version of the AWS CLI, and that the credentials to your AWS account are current (if using AWS for Konvoy). https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/userguide/cli-chap-install.html
- Also, ensure that you have kubectl installed to the latest version: https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/tools/install-kubectl/
